The hotels is in an ideal location just a short walk from various shopping stores. We found it very convenient to get around using the nearby bus and metro stations. The bus stop to the airport is about 10 to 15 minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, including The Palma restaurant right next-door, where breakfast is served if you included it with your booking. The food there is quite good. Our room was very spacious. Excellent hair dryer.

Note: I was there during the full week of festivals in Bilbao. Room was great and very spacious. Looked right out onto the street. Even though I was there during festival week, the window blocked out most of the noise, which was substantive and lasted alllllll night. But ear plugs (provided by the hotel) blocked out the rest. The location itself was great and very central to everything. I was working remotely, and there is a salon with tables where I could work with good WiFi and no trouble. Very comfortable bed. Coffee / tea included. Great bathroom with great water pressure. Staff was very accommodating.

We loved Bilder Boutique Hotel, where we stayed 7 nights on our trip to Bilbao. The Hotel is located on a great site, close to train and bus station and the old town and the bridges, all in a walkable distance. The room was excellent, recently renovated, the stuff was very friendly and we could communicate in English with all of them. We will visit Bilbao again and choose to stay in Bilder Boutique Hotel!

Hotel only rated 2 stars but exceeded our expectations: of the six good hotels we stayed in on this trip, some 4 star, it had the best shower, best towels, best hairdryer and a great location in the old town of Bilbao, close to shops and a 15 minute walk to the Guggenheim. There are buses and a taxi rank nearby and we had helpful information from the friendly reception staff. There is a bar and café adjoining though no hotel restaurant, but there are plentiful bars and bakeries very close: we liked the Belgian bakery opposite the theatre. Kettle, tea and coffee were provided in the room.

Lovely hotel, so central to the city & all the sites. Great room, comfortable, spotlessly clean & quiet despite being in the city centre. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were so friendly, helpful & attentive. Rosa stands out for particular mention- she could not have been more attentive & helpful with tips for our onward journey to San Sebastián. She even booked our bus tickets for us! On our return journey when we stayed again in Bilder Boutique, she remembered us, despite all the numbers of guests who must pass through your doors. The location of Bilder Boutique hotel is excellent, in the old town but the new town is very accessible, everywhere can be reached on foot. All the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The breakfasts were better than expected, with a large selection of cooked options. We also had a meal in La Palma the hotel restaurant which was delicious. The bar and restaurant are open to the public but there is a large comfortable lounge for use just by the guests. The hotel does not provide all the "bits and pieces" extras but concentrates on the important aspects such cleanliness which was first rate, good sound proofing and lovely bed linen and towels, for this reason it was very good value.

Lovely modern, minimalist, quiet room with huge bathroom. Great location in old town - walkable everywhere, lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Staff were friendly. Great to have bar/cafe on site. Breakfast was lovely!

Breakfast was delicious. You have your options from a menu. The location of the hotel is right in the downtown/ old town area so there is a lot to explore just by walking.

The location was terrific - just steps from the tram, which we used after getting off the bus from San Sebastián, to walk to the hotel. Also, the same tram took us the following morning to the Guggenheim. Staying in the old town was charming and made it easy to see the entire old town, which was so walkable, with access to lots of restaurants, tapas bars, and shops. The room was small, but configured so well - it could have had more furniture than it did. The shower was great, as was the bed and pillows and it was very clean. There was a restaurant next door that had some kind of arrangement with the hotel for breakfast, but we didn’t use it. The room did have a kettle for making tea or instant coffee. There was also a sort of lounge - a room with tables and sofas, with large windows where you could go to relax outside of your room. And we liked that it was a small rather than large hotel.

It’s super close to the train station which I really appreciate it. Also it’s nearby lots of shops and restaurants. It’s around a half an hour walk from the Guggenheim part of town. Our bedroom was available early, as we checked-in in the morning. That was really nice! The receptionist was very helpful with holding our luggage for the day, and recommending the best transportation we could take to our next destination. He also spoke English, which was very helpful.
